The latest version of Instagram 6.8.1 is updated on October 8, 2014. Instagram is an android app apk for online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 16:9 aspect ratio now typically used by mobile device cameras. Users are also able to record and share short videos lasting for up to 15 seconds. Here we have the latest update of Instagram 6.8.1 apk file from google play store market which is released on October 8, 2014.
Instagram describes itself as a ‘fast, beautiful and fun’ way of sharing your life with friends and family. It’s a photo-sharing social media app that allows users to take and upload photos from their smartphone camera, add filters, captions and location info and then share them with ‘followers’.
Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free?
Users can upload photographs and short videos, connect their Instagram account to other social networking sites (which will enable the option to share uploaded photos to those sites), and follow other users’ feeds. As of June 2013, users can connect their Instagram account to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.
On Instagram, you can follow other users’ photo streams as they post them and you can be followed back by those users (or other users) as well. Using the “Profile” icon located on the lower menu of the Instagram screen, you can search for friends by name or find friends that are already connected to you on other social networks like Facebook or Twitter. When you decide to follow a user, that user’s Instagram photos will appear in your feed, which can be found under the “Feed” icon on the lower menu. You can press “Like” on any photo to let someone know that you admire their photography, or you can leave a comment.
When you take photos using the Instagram app, they will always appear in the feeds of the users who are following you. You can browse through the “Explore” tab to find new users to follow and creative photos to look at. Take a picture or video, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram — it’s that easy. You can even share to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and more. It’s a new way to see the world.
How does it work?
The app was designed as a way to ‘make the world more connected with photos’, and with over 100 million active users it’s safe the say the philosophy has taken hold. It’s a more visual and less annoying alternative to Twitter, Facebook and the like, and has become a way for anyone with a mobile phone to claim themselves experts in photography (much to the annoyance of professional photographers and artists).
You have the option of taking a new photo using Instagram’s in-app camera feature, or can upload a shot you’ve prepared earlier from your camera roll or photo gallery. Once you’ve selected your picture, the app will then let you crop it into a square shape (similar to Instamatic and Polaroid camera images, and adding to the app’s ‘retro’ feel).
Next, you can choose from one of 19 filters to enhance your photo – everything from sepia and black and white tones, to vintage-looking borders and frames. You can then add a description, tag followers and add location info for where the photo was taken. Hit upload and in a few seconds, your photo is posted and can be viewed, ‘liked’ and commented on by your friends and family.
