PicsArt Photo Studio is a popular, feature-rich photo editor that was formerly for Android phones only, but it’s now available for iPhone too. PicsArt is a mobile app with abundant photoshop-style features that you’ll want to try out. PicsArt Photo Studio is a free Photo Editing Tool available for the Android Devices running Android 1.6 or above. Despite being free, it bundles a lot of features that even some premium apps lack. With a great user experience on top of all that, this app is a great choice for photo addicts.
There are several apps that let you add effects and edit your photos, but PicsArt Photo Studio does those things and quite a lot more. And yah.. its free. In fact this app has so many features it can get a little overwhelming — particularly with the number of interface elements on the screen. The latest Picsart app for android is with version Picsart 188.8.131.52 apk file and released on the date December 25, 2014.
If you have an account at PicsIn, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa or Dropbox, you can get your photos into the app in a matter of seconds. Just tap the icon, log in, and you’ll have access to your photo albums from the service.
Like most photo effects apps, you can snap a new picture or pull one from your photo library. With an image onscreen, you can use the buttons on the bottom of the interface to play with the main features of the app. A tools button lets you do things like crop, rotate, and resize the image, with extra tools including one that lets you crop to a specific shape. You have another button for effects with several categories such as Artistic, Paper effects, ColorSplash, and simple color corrections. From there you can use the drawing button to draw on your image with a fully customizable paintbrush, add text, add shapes, and even overlay another photo on top of your original image. Next you can throw a mask on your image and add a frame. Finally, an Add button lets you add things like clip art, callouts, more frames, and text. Frankly, the number of things you can do with your images is exhaustive.
Collage: Put Your Favorite Pictures Together : This option is made for people that take a lot of photos at parties! You can combine several photos into one image, using any of the many backgrounds and frames provided. Of course, there’s no obligation to restrict collages to pictures of your friends, as the image above demonstrates.
The PicsArt app editing interface is well designed and powerful. Despite its multitude of options, using the app is not confusing. The banner ads across the bottom, however, can be distracting. You can pinch to zoom, reveal more controls with a plus button, see before and after views of your image, undo the last action, and reset your picture to its original state.
Once you start working with an image in PicsArt, you immediately see the app’s appeal: It has oodles of photo editing tools—not only Instagram-style filters that are more adjustable than those in Instagram, but also curves, masks, clone/stamp, cropping with shape, brushes, borders, text and lens flares. Photoshop, watch out! And don’t even get me started about clip art. There are sets for travel, sports, nature, birthday, mustaches, baby stuff, love, rabbits…the list goes on. Some are in-app purchases, usually for 99 cents, but many are free.
